마야사는 자연 속에서 휴식과 사색을 즐길 수 있는 공간으로, 계절마다 변화하는 풍경과 따뜻한 분위기가 조화를 이루는 곳입니다. 그래버티는 이러한 공간의 가치와 건축적 특성을 고려하여 주변 환경과 자연스럽게 어우러지는 목재 선쉐드를 제안했습니다.

GRAVITY’s Outdoor SUNSHED was newly installed at Cheongju Mayasa Temple in 2026, a serene place where the tranquility of a Buddhist temple harmonizes with the beauty of nature.
Mayasa Temple offers visitors a peaceful environment for rest and reflection, where the changing seasons create a unique and welcoming atmosphere. With careful consideration of the site’s architectural character and natural surroundings, GRAVITY proposed a timber SUNSHED that integrates seamlessly with the landscape.
The SUNSHED enhances the building with the warmth of natural wood and its rich texture, adding depth and elegance to the architecture. As the material naturally ages, it develops an even richer character over time. More than a simple shading device, it serves as a design element that connects architecture with nature while enriching the overall spatial experience.
GRAVITY’s Outdoor SUNSHED is an exterior architectural solution that balances both aesthetics and performance. It effectively reduces direct solar exposure to create a more comfortable indoor environment while offering architects the flexibility to incorporate it into a wide range of façade designs.
